It isn’t like the out of control spay population is some secret, but I guarantee that the people who care are not confronting the people who don’t nearly as much as they are proclaiming their objections to the mistreatment of our parish’s strays in broad statements that never carry beyond the digital confines of social media. It is time for the people who truly care about the fate of our furry cohabitators to speak to those of our elected officials, those who have the ability to affect the positive changes we are requesting. No, these are demands since anything short would be demanding! I have approached this Police Jury on numerous occasions; emotion begets emotion, and emotion is appropriate in these kinds of conversations. Don’t go get yourself arrested, but leave all of your frustration on their little podium desk that they share. I’ll be right there with you!
